Professionally, David is chairman and CEO of Moore Holdings and a partner in Sonostar Ventures, LLC, an investor in start-ups and public securities. He has held a variety of leadership positions with UJA, most recently co-chairing the annual campaign. As a comedian, he’s appeared in the New York Comedy Festival, at the Gotham Comedy Club, and at Caroline’s on Broadway.

Vice President, Planned Giving & Endowments, UJA-Federation of New York

William D. Samers is vice president of Planned Giving & Endowments at UJA-Federation, the largest local nonprofit in the country, where he leads a 13-person gift-planning department. He is a past president of the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York and served on the executive committee of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners as secretary and chair of the investment committee.

Ruthie Saragosti

Director, Strategic Planning, UJA-Federation in Israel

Ruthie Saragosti currently serves as the Director of Planning at the Israel Office of the UJA Federation of New York. Prior to this she served as an advisor to Rashut Ha'Rabim, a coalition of 32 organizations in Jerusalem dedicated to advancing religious pluralism, diversity, and Jewish renaissance in Israel. Previously, Ruthie served as VP of International Development and Strategic Planning for Yedidim Israel, an NGO dedicated to reshaping the lives of children and youth at risk.
